11. Exploration-Production Sector Consultation Meeting

11st Exploration & Production Consultation Meeting with the participation of the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Fatih Dönmez and Senior Bureaucrats has been performed by PETORM in cooperation with General Directorate of Petroleum Affairs in Batman, TPAO Regional Directorate Facilities on 19 December 2019. At the meeting, the companies operating in the Exploration - Production Sector have found the opportunity to consult with notably Mr. Fatih Dönmez and the relevant Decision Makers about the problems they have encountered and discussed the solution proposals.

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources; Fatih Dönmez stated that 381 million barrels of crude oil and 4.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas reserves were added and 25 domestic and 18 foreign including 43 companies are operating in Turkey today with new discoveries in the last 17 years. Mr. Dönmez stated that an investment of 11.2 billion dollars has been realized in oil exploration and production activities in the last 17 years.

Chairman of PETFORM Mr. Aziz Camcı expressed that they believe the more investors have benefited incentives in the exploration and production sector, the more investments in sector will increase. At the opening speech of Mr. Aziz Camcı, he said, “The investment level of exploration & production companies must be increased. We take great care of the steps that will fully reveal the potential of our country. The acquisition of domestic resources into the economy is a common denominator for all of us. We believe that the investments will increase if the exploration and production sector benefits from investment incentives.”
