Exploration-Production Sector Technical –Scout Meeting

Exploration-Production Sector Technical Evaluation Meeting organized by PETFORM was held on June 08, 2022, in Divan Hotel, Ankara with the contributions of GDMPA, and the participation of all sector stakeholders. After the opening speeches at the meeting, GDMPA made a presentation on Exploration-Production activities covering the first four months of 2021 and 2022. In the second part of the meeting, the companies operating in the Exploration-Production Sector have found the opportunity to consult about the activities carried out in the Turkish Exploration-Production sector. GDMPA Deputy General Manager Mr. Sami Sarıyıldız emphasized that 800,000 barrels of oil are consumed Daily in Turkey and even 1$ increase in oil, costs millions of dollars to our country. And stated that they are trying to pave the way for the industry by supporting every extra production. PETFORM Chairperson Ms. Ayşe Cesur stated that representatives of GDMPA, TPAO, and TPIC were present at the meeting as well as private sector representatives and that it is very valuable to act jointly with all institutions and organizations in terms of the development of the sector. Cesur also stated that the private sector is ready to contribute in every way and expressed its readiness to develop new partnership models in both land and sea fields. PETFORM Exploration-Production Group Leader Mr. Çağatay Beydoğan stated that within the scope of the Association’s strategy, the scope of the Technical-Scout Meeting has expanded further with the inclusion of Service companies. Mr. Beydoğan underlined that, as a whole, without making any distinction between public and private they will continue to struggle for the production of one more barrel of oil and cubic meters of natural gas.
