Energy Exchange Workshop

Energy Exchange Workshop was held in Ankara on 24-25 March 2014 hosted by Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources as first event within the scope of TRGas-Hub Project coordinated by PETFORM. Head of MENR Strategic Management Department Mr. Hasan Hüseyin Erdoğan, Dr. Ömer Erdem, Chairman of PETFORM Board Mr. Aytaç Eren, PETFORM Board Members and a lot of private sector representatives attended the meeting.

Development of natural gas market in Turkey and its liberalization were discussed during the workshop by giving examples from Europe. This two-year project was defined as a tool to supply the market's needs and it was expressed that the project took an advisor role by giving examples from European countries such as England, Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Italy. Chairman of PETFORM Board Mr. Aytaç Eren said that he is honored to see public and private sector representatives at the first workshop of the project which will contribute to Turkey's natural gas market liberalization.

Dr. Ömer Erdem said that they care supply security of energy and increasing of energy variety as Ministry. Mr. Erdem said that they are honored to be part of the project which will contribute Turkey's energy market liberalization.
